Rob has finally given up with technology and he is leaving Walter and the gremlins to setup this page for him.  Welcome to Rob's (and Walter's) media page.  Here you will find promotional videos to watch and other interactive fun things to see, read, download and share with your friends.  This is all free and is a thank you from Rob for your loyal support over the years.  And don't forget, if you would like to be kept up to date about new releases, media content, or to see what Walter is doing next, you can subscribe to the newsletter using the links at the bottom of this page.

Well done to Rob for storming in at number one again in the Kindle charts with his new release, Third Eye.

And of course, well done Lasser and Walter for reaching these heady heights again.

Thank you to David Gilchrist for the wonderful mention in the Facebook UK Crime Book Club.

I suppose all authors have voices inside their heads, I know I do, a voice for each character and a narrative voice, they are all there swirling around the brain and squabbling for time on the page.

So, when I first thought of how the books would sound as an audio experience, I knew what I wanted, after all I have lived with this bunch of ne'er-do-wells for so long now that there are no surprises for me. Though when it came to finding the right voice to tackle the audio versions of the Lasser series it soon became apparent that the voices who auditioned were not quite right. That is through no fault of their own, in fact, they were all really good and yet they didn't match what I had in my head.

I am really happy with the audio version of The Needle House but unfortunately the narrator was unable to give the series his full attention, which is understandable considering people have other things in their lives to attend to, and doing an audio book is a long complex process that takes a high level of time and commitment.

Anyway, in the end I decided to have a go myself and you can listen to the short Lasser story for free.

I will admit that improvements could be made, I am no narrator, but I have tried my best and hopefully if you have read the Lasser books then you will enjoy the short story.

If you haven't read any yet and enjoy the short audio book then why not jump in with the first full length novel in the Lasser series, The Needle House, only 99p or free to read on Kindle Unlimited

Thank you all for your continued support and I hope you enjoy the short story.
